Let it snow, let it snow, Alonso....

Snowed in here in London, it's ridiculous.  Started in Scotland (it's -20 or summat stupid there at the mo), then hit the North, the Midlands and now the Saarf'. Snow is so overrated.  It's ok like when you catch  a glimpse of the peak of the Himalayas when you're ready to land in Mumbai for a bangin' holiday in the blistering hot sun !  But not here, like.  No.

Anyway, that feckin' annoying song (let it snow, let it snow, let it snow) isn't letting me forget Xabi Alonso's departure.  In fact, being at Anfield every home game isn't letting me forget him. That, by the way, is the song we sang on the terraces when Xabi was in his pomp at Anfield.  Even when he wasn't !  That actually wasn't the SONG...it was the TUNE.  I can't attach a voice clip on here, else I'd have sung it for yous ! It goes like this, like :

To the tune of "Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow". Obviously.

Oh man is a midfield maestro,
And his passing is oh so delightful,
Everybody wants to know,
Alonso, Alonso, Alonso....

See what I mean, Jean ??

Anyway, back to my day. I started my day in the realisation that we turned down a £9mill bid for Ryan Babel.  What's the world coming to ??  If we don't sell now, we'll be lucky to get £5mill for him in t'Summer !

"Dinamo Moscow apparently lead the race to sign Liverpool striker Andriy Voronin".  Who in their right mind would race for his signature ??

Looks like Dossena's off too, finally.  I swear we only kept him 'cos he got the 4th v the Septics last seasie !  Apparently we're also looking at Suarez.  Lavezzi too, who sounds like a brand of coffee.

I'm so glad Rafa's said we're not going for R.V. Nistelrooy.  I wouldn't have wanted him even if we'd be guaranteed the Premier league !  There are some things you just don't do...and sleeping with the enemy in your own house is a deffo no-no.  I felt the same when we had Ince.  Once a Manc, never a Red.

Maxi Rodrigueq looks like it might happen tho, which'll be a bonus ! sweeeeet !
